2006 End of Year Annoucements and FoundationKL goes to Vinyl DC!

2006 has been a blessed year for the lot of us here at FKL.

Around this time last year, Radzy, thesuperglo, and I got together and declared that it would be an incredible year. It has.

New Years Eve will mark the 1st anniversary of Foundationkl.org. Although the website has only just come up, we as a community have been quietly infecting the minds of the underground in Kuala Lumpur.

Today, we have a roster of some of the most talented and motivated individuals spanning the globe, and that momentum is not slowing down.

We can’t thank all of you enough.

FoundationKL.org will be on holiday until the 3rd of November. Radzy and myself are going to go to Thailand for the Green Spirit Festival (we’re bringing the FKL mixes up too to promote!) and thesuperglo will be busy taking his final exams for the year.

However, next year on the 6th of January, we will be playing for Ben Cracko at the 1st anniversary of Vinyl DC. If you can all make it en-masse, then we can celebrate FKL’s 1st anniversary too! ;)

Until then, have a fucking incredible holiday season, and a have an enlightening and refreshing 2007!

Love
The Foundationkl.org Team

[FKL] [Exclusive] Damien K - A State of DK 001 - 003

We have the exclusive.

Burning up speakers via the digitalvibes.net music network, Damien K has given us the go ahead to serve up his netradio mix show as full on mp3 downloadables : A State of DK.

The show, featuring the most massive of global trance, demonstrates incredible intensity with a lining of Australian-influenced wit and rebellion. Sculpted with precision and a penchant for the journeyman’s wanderlust, Damien K does not disappoint with this excursion outside of his harder monster-stomping mixes.

For now, we’ll be hosting his recorded shows 001 -003, but his latest mixes can be streamed from the digitalvibes.net website. Be sure to check out the site for latest updates on A State of DK

FoundationKL.org DOUBLES webspace for artists!

Just because we’re feeling in the Christmas spirit, we have DOUBLED the webspace for all artists from 2048mbs per user to 4096mbs (4 GIGS) for even more livesets, downloadbles, and resource for your listeners and promotional usage.

This is with immediate effect.

Also, we are currently mulling over increasing the membership numbers - only after we have evaluated our total number of users as well as how much bandwidth they’re taking up. Currently, we are already on the border of our bandwidth limit (if that lets you guys know how many people actually visit or syndicate our content).

If you are interested in being a member of the FKL community, drop me an email at jk@foundationkl.org with your registration information.

Drum and Bass infiltrates Greater China

phreaktion.jpgScreaming out of cutting-edge Shanghai hails a drum and bass collective driven to spread the amen break into greater China.

The Phreaktion podcast, led by DJ Siesta’s lazy liquid sounds and moody expressions, marks the underground infiltration of the last bastion in dance music.

DJ Siesta, an event promoter and DJ, was crafted into a fierce proponent for the genre after starting off as a warmup DJ. Now, promoting events at the Bonbon nights at Godskitchen China, Siesta is truly on the verge of starting an eastern music revolution.

We’ll be keeping an eye on her and Phreaktion regularly on FoundationKL.org. Mad props to her in the meantime (yo).
Her weekly podcast can be downloaded at http://phreaktion.com/

[FKL] Superglo - Midnight Aerobics

thesuperglothesuperglo aerodynamically launches this sweet mix from the foundationkl.org studios with an array of classic psychedelia, crossing the roots of goa and psytrance.

Symptoms of this mix includes hyperventilation, increased blood pressure, and dilated pupils.

[Notes from thesuperglo]
One way to work up a sweat without leaving the comfort of your home.
Tapping your foot to 150bpm psy-trance and goa.
Again, it gets messy at a couple of places but you know what ?

I don’t care.

I had alot of fun while recording this mix. Hopefully you guys will have just as much fun listening to it.

Peace.
