[FKL] Manwë - Unwind, My Love (Midnight Sessions Ep.6)

When Pheromones Collide

Manwë ushers in the weekend with a lush trance laden mix built to invoke a myriad of emotive experiences. A carefully planned, semi-analog effort, this mix really shows the hard work Manwë has been putting into developing his own style and sound.

And while it features some of Trance’s biggest names like Chicane, Ronski Speed, Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond, our mixologist has a few surprises for us, dropping some crafty remixes of U2 and Massive Attack. This one is guaranteed to put a smile on all you trance-heads!

Oops! DMCA.

REMOVE ALL COPYRIGHTED and Non-PUBLIC content IMMEDIATELY!

We experienced some technical issues over the weekend which resulted in the suspension of the FKL servers. This is because of a MASSIVE breach of the terms and conditions, DMCA style. Our sincerest apologies to all our readers. We’re still working out the knicks and knacks that comes with running a site such as FKL but rest assured we’re doing our best to bring you more awesomeness from the planet’s finest bedroom Djs.

Now, it has come to our attention that some are using their provided web space as a means of backing up their entire music collection! We got hit really hard primarily because of all this. Large volumes of individual mp3s, amongst others, were found during a routine scan. And of course, fearing the worst, the server was promptly suspended.

Come on guys. This is the last thing we need. As of right now, we are no longer issuing web-space. Please remove all non- FKL related items from your individual spaces. Mixsets, Artworks and Tracklists are cool. A 320kpbs MP3 of a banging electro tune is not. Not to mention flooding the chatbox with infringing links.

We really need everyone’s co-operation to keep this site going. All allocated web-spaces are by no means your personal back-up drive.

Anyway, we’re back online. Let’s start kicking @$$ again!

[FKL] Sirius Break - A Transcontinental Quickie

Sirius has been holed up in his lab during one of the most brutal winters in Buffalo’s recent history and, after much hounding, has given us a little teaser of what he has brewing…

An Illectic Teaser

Sirius Break - An Illicit Teaser

This quick mixset seduces with the opening track by Melleefresh & Deadmau5 , then a punchy bass-driven follow through with Drumattic Twins remixing Deibeat leads into one of my favorite Breaks producers, also from upstate New York, DJ Fixx. Sirius had to represent the home team… Sirius’ track selection guides us logically to a chunky, dirty, electro-tech grand finale with none othern that DJ Dan and Speculum.

Like the subtle storm that rolls in over a city at night, this set balances the expected with flashes of inspired nuance that makes it pure Sirius. As usual Sirius, takes through a mind-explosive journey of aural bliss… Can’t wait to hear the full-length mix he’s promised to drop on us next time…

[FKL] DJ Rasul - Feb 08 Promo

A Little Trance-migration.

While Dj Rasul might be a fresh face here on FKL, he is by no means a newbie to the world of Dance music and Dj-ing. A student of Jeremy K, Rasul got his first break at Lavish, playing hard-trance. Since then, the boy has been stamping his mark all over Melbourne with gigs at venues like Madisons, Equinox and Gravity Bar. His current residency is at Seven, where patrons are treated to a weekly dose of electro and minimal tech.

His first mix here on FKL is definitely an engaging one. An ethereal blend of trance, electro and minimal with a very progressive sensibility, featuring the likes of Luke Chable, Deadmau5, Hiroyuki Oda and Andrea Doria.

Boys and Girls, give it up for Dj Rasul.

[FKL] RESISTIV3 B2B Sessions featuring Kain (Ohm Resistance, US)

Feel The Resistance

resistiv3

The Resistiv3 crew recently churned some guts and most probably gave a few people a sensory lobotomy with their back to back sessions at KL’s Palate Palette Restaurant & Bar. And even though I wasn’t able to make the show, judging from these mixsets, it must have been one hell of a night!

From the most brooding Dubstep to the utter mayhem some absolute killer DnB, the Resistiv3 crew are surely sending out shockwaves that are rattling the local scene at its very foundations.

Featuring the brilliant talents of Tubby, Chi-Pulp, An-Owl, MH, Mac and Kain (Ohm Resistance), this is just, I hope, a precursor of many more Resistiv3 events to come. Download and be blown away!

STRAIGHT FROM THE LONDON UNDERGROUND

  DJ Jode aka Jody Newman

Jode aka Jody Newman comes to the table with a smooth and seamless blend of liquid funk beats. Also a talented producer in his own right Jode has provided us with a sampling of some original mp3s flavors. Jode employs a Mac, Logic, Turntables, a littlle outboard mixer, and Alesis Mk 2s for monitoring.

FKL Tripod Gets Extra Appendages.

Alright gang. It has come to my attention that some of us aren’t fully aware of the recent developments here at FKL.

THIS IS A TAKEOVER! GIVE US ALL YOUR MIXES!

Nah, I’m kidding. That was just to get your attention.

Anyway…

As mentioned earlier, the Chairman (JK) has stepped back from managing the site content wise, in order to focus on expanding and promoting FKL. Basically, the dude’s gonna be busy making sure that the engines on this awesome train we call Foundation KL will continue to run, not just smoothly, but better than ever before.

And really, after two years constantly updating and maintaining and rabidly going “where’s my mix?”, the dude deserves a bit of break.

So, as of right now, Monsieur Pascal and moi will be handling posting duties. Be it mixes, articles, announcements… the whole she-bang. So, like, if you’ve got that really awesome, uber cool mixset, that you would like everyone to hear, let us know.

Of course we don’t just take mixes. Ideas and suggestions are always welcomed too.

We want to evolve and progress and take the site to greater heights. I mean, FKL shouldn’t just be a place where we post a couple of mixes and talk up some people or some event and that’s the end of it. We need to grow. We need to expand.

Anywhooo, feel free to get in touch with me or Pascal, either via the chatbox or you can also contact me via MSN. (raj_j_i[at]hotmail[dot]com)

Let’s start swelling this bubble.

Yours for the taking,

Raj J.I. [the-dude-sometimes-known-as-4]
