I received this in an email yesterday and was so moved by the message, I felt it was important to share with everyone. FKL Members and guests, take a moment after you’ve watched this clip above and ask yourself what you can do to take action on behalf of our planet.

We experienced some technical issues over the weekend which resulted in the suspension of the FKL servers. This is because of a MASSIVE breach of the terms and conditions, DMCA style. Our sincerest apologies to all our readers. We’re still working out the knicks and knacks that comes with running a site such as FKL but rest assured we’re doing our best to bring you more awesomeness from the planet’s finest bedroom Djs.
Now, it has come to our attention that some are using their provided web space as a means of backing up their entire music collection! We got hit really hard primarily because of all this. Large volumes of individual mp3s, amongst others, were found during a routine scan. And of course, fearing the worst, the server was promptly suspended.
Come on guys. This is the last thing we need. As of right now, we are no longer issuing web-space. Please remove all non- FKL related items from your individual spaces. Mixsets, Artworks and Tracklists are cool. A 320kpbs MP3 of a banging electro tune is not. Not to mention flooding the chatbox with infringing links.
We really need everyone’s co-operation to keep this site going. All allocated web-spaces are by no means your personal back-up drive.
Anyway, we’re back online. Let’s start kicking @$$ again!
Alright gang. It has come to my attention that some of us aren’t fully aware of the recent developments here at FKL.
Nah, I’m kidding. That was just to get your attention.
Anyway…
As mentioned earlier, the Chairman (JK) has stepped back from managing the site content wise, in order to focus on expanding and promoting FKL. Basically, the dude’s gonna be busy making sure that the engines on this awesome train we call Foundation KL will continue to run, not just smoothly, but better than ever before.
And really, after two years constantly updating and maintaining and rabidly going “where’s my mix?”, the dude deserves a bit of break.
So, as of right now, Monsieur Pascal and moi will be handling posting duties. Be it mixes, articles, announcements… the whole she-bang. So, like, if you’ve got that really awesome, uber cool mixset, that you would like everyone to hear, let us know.
Of course we don’t just take mixes. Ideas and suggestions are always welcomed too.
We want to evolve and progress and take the site to greater heights. I mean, FKL shouldn’t just be a place where we post a couple of mixes and talk up some people or some event and that’s the end of it. We need to grow. We need to expand.

It’s well known that Music is a powerful element. Some would describe her as a mistress that whispers seducing strains of inspirational melody into our minds at night. Others might describe Music as a drug that takes over the senses, driving the body and mind to new levels of ecstatic union with the soul, bringing us closer to the Divine.
Clinical Research, and the empirical observations of the local club scene, suggests that our brains respond to music as if it were medicine. Musicians, Therapists, DJs and Producers have observed the healing power of sound for managing pain, improving mood, releasing anxiety, and easing depression.
Winter Music Conference is upon us here in the United States, and your friendly, neighborhood Vinyl Slinger is heading down to South Beach to get his annual dose of awe-inspiring feel good…
Oooooh yes! I will be gathering as much images, and video if I can get the Super 8 working, as I can to share with the FKL family upon my return so that we can all sooth our need for those feel-good beats from some of the best in the world! Like DJ Craze!

FoundationKL.org is a tripod. If you don’t know what the hell is a tripod see below :
a. Tripod - a three-legged stand for a camera, used to stabilize and elevate the camera.
b. Tripod - a 3 legged mechanical walker on monster that had metallic tentacles underneath, an appendage housing the heat-ray, and a hood-like head.

I like to think that we fall under category b. and the that the 3 founding members (JK, Radzy and myself) form the legs.
Today, the shorter of the 3 legs has grown a tad bit longer (and older).

We created FoundationKL.org as a platform for underground and bedroom DJ’s to gain exposure on the Internet, the largest and greatest audience that any musician would need to work their way higher and higher towards self-actualization.
However, since our inception on New Year’s Day 2006 we have become a driving force in the next stage of evolution in the global dance music culture; from a culture of self-absorbed fashionable ego-tripping into a new artistic philosophy based on mutual respect, understanding, peace, and goodwill.
This is what we have accomplished:
Transforming FoundationKL.org into a globally read blog that has an average of 20 - 30 THOUSAND Unique Users per month. We’re not a gigantic website, but we have an excellent following of die hard readers and listeners.
We successfully promoted over 22 DJs and producers through the web as well as through print and online radio channels. Increasing awareness of a global DJ underground as well as motivating up and coming musicians to represent themselves on a global stage, DIY or Die.
Participated and joined in the efforts to create awarness for the Burma Crisis through the Free Burma Campaign by informing and educating the DJ and dance music communities through music downloads. Imagine, somewhere out there right now, someone has a Free Burma mix on their MP3 player reminding them that the people of Burma have a long road towards freedom. Every bit of mind-share counts and slowly but surely we will play on when Burma is finally liberated from the Junta.
We even managed to throw a few of our own parties. But we’ll get to that later on this week!
But MOST OF ALL we’ve made some great friends, had some great times, and had a hell of allot of fun. We can’t thank all of you enough for that!
We will continue playing on. That’s what we do. Whether there are sponsorships, endorsements, or resistance to OUR culture. The global Foundation plays on.
This year. We will play EXTRA loud. We will evolve dance culture.
Together.
On that point, I would like to acknowledge out initial batch of DJs / Producers who have participated with the project since it’s founding…
