By Shiva’s locks! I have not had this much Psy in a LONG time! No, scratch that. I have not had this much awesome-butt-kicking Psy in a long time! The following is a presentation of what happens when you take three psy-nuts and one very special guest and let them throw an event.
First things first. Massive congratulations to the Epic Tribe and the FKL Trimurti for throwing an insanely successful event! The turnout far exceeded expectations. Proxy Metatron, TheSuperGlo, Ydzar and special guest Fantapsy of Shaman Films put on one hell of a show. Plus the decor and artwork by Cozmic Rainbows, headed by Sherein, were astounding! We have more than 3 hours worth of transcendental euphoria from the night (JK was unable to record his set unfortunately -booo!)
So, I’m gonna stop yakking now and let you guys have it!
This is definitely my kinda DnB. Hard. Pounding. Bone-jarring. Audiotrixx starts the week with an all out ‘take-no-prisoners’ assault, hell-bent on jangling your very perception.
In the dude’s own words:
“In Transition” takes you into the realm of dark neuro funk, technoid and hard tech step materials…The term “In Transition” was based on the matters of life changing experiences. Changes that leads to a logical adaptation to one’s environment.
An intricately woven collage featuring some of Electronica’s hardest hitters with the likes of Ben Sage, Telemetrik, Phace, DJ Hidden and *omg* Limewax. And the ‘Timang Burung‘ intro? The placid calm before the ravenous storm. Prepare to be detonated!!

When my fellow FKL editor Raj, aka No. 4, aka Static Itch decides to do a mix, I never know what to expect, but I always know that it will challenge my sense of musical programming, and inspire with the coscienceness of his track selection. “Buried Beneath the Plastic Sheen” plays like a mixtape and has the feel of a soundtrack… And in the same way, it will imbue whatever you’re doing while listening to it with that sense of surreal intensity that only a great soundtrack can.
It starts off meditative with Jim Johnston’s interpretation of The Undertaker, winds through the mind with Massive Attack and Bong Ra, and suddenly you realize it’s too late as the aural trip nectar drives through your senses with Marco Beltrami vs. Marilyn Manson! The pathway of the programming is cutting and hypnotic, all at once sharp and sensual, as it goes from the blazing brain-bleeding bass of IDM to down-tempo groovin’.
Take a listen and enjoy the ride!

Fellow FKL Editor, Pascal Dupuy a.k.a Dj Möet serves up a vivaciously-thumping DnB set with the sixth installation of his ‘Groundbreaking’ themed sets, which sees Big Boy dishing out a concrete sonic wallop.
Starting of with the attention arresting ‘Girls and Boys’ from Aquasky, the mix progresses into various DnB sub-territories, blending a whole lot of soul and funk with more than enough bass to put a smirk on any Junglist’s face. Look out for some killer tracks from Dj Zinc, Jenna G, Jet Li (?!!!), Nu:Tone and High Contrast, amongst others.
An excellent way to start your week!

And no, we’re not talking about some KDE based software. BOOOORING! This is Zaskar, of Flava Events, returning with awesomely-amazing-blistering-crazy-cool-minimal-tech set. And believe me it’s one heck of a ride!
Homeboy fabricates an intelligent magnum opus that blends crisp, finely-tailored drumbeats with abyssal basslines that seem to emanate straight from the bowels of the earth. And just when you think you’ve figured this set out, something crazy, like a jazz interlude (!!!!), jerks the judgmental prick out of you.
Heads up Foundation KLers, it is my pleasure to present Greg Wilkinson.
Co-founder of online radio station Static Progress, Greg has thirteen years experience in the underground scene, and has a real passion for electronic music. Between 1995 and 2001 Greg graced the decks in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as London, playing everything from the 60s, 70’s and modern commercial club hits to trance. Moving to San Diego, California in 2001, Greg became exposed to the various forms of house, breaks and drum n’ bass.
With this revelation he reinvented himself, and nowadays his sets have moved on to electro house with a deep, hard and moody progressive edge. Currently he can be found spinning in some of San Diego’s top clubs like On Broadway and Crudo’s.
“Programming is what sets DJ’s apart from each other, I do not want to sound like the other progressive DJ’s by playing the same tracks,” says Greg.
Shutter Effect is an exclusive set provided for FKL! With a roster of the likes of Amesz & Gelderblom, Fedde la Grand, Micky Slim, and Elroy & Tom Piper feat. Gabriella Abela on his set, Greg certainly expresses his individual taste and view on bringing the groove… Enjoy!

Ever had an email bounce back and receive a message from some dude who’s name sounds like a Pokemon? This isn’t him!
Who Is Mailer Daemon?
Sydney-based Producer/DJ, Mailer Daemon of Black Gallant Productions hops on the FKL bandwagon with a mix that demonstrates his talents in both producing and performing.
Just like everybody’s favourite energy drink, our mixologist brings a multitude of stimuli and perks, with an effort featuring a host of self-produced tracks. And just like how Taurine tastes better with Vodka, Mailer Daemon drops some equally eclectic and crafty remixes of Lost Valentinos, Bloc Party, Richard In Your Mind, Ghost of Television and Wons Phreely.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna get myself a cold shot of energy-inducing sucrose before blasting this one and waking the neighbours up.

Much apologies for the lack of updates. For those who aren’t quite over their post ‘Strange Logic‘ buzz, here’s a little something from the depths of psy.
Where there is much light, the shadow is deep
FKL appendage, thesuperglo, presents an almost shamanistic incantation that starts huge and energetic before craftily progressing into the more mystifying planes of psy. A deep, penetrating set, that paints a kind of broodingly peaceful (oxymoron?) atmosphere that is sure to gratify your neuroses.
thesuperglo has created a beautiful amalgamation that features some of psytrance’s more esoteric names, like Encephalopaticys, Paranoize and Atriohm alongside the more familiar names of Tryambaka and Fungus Funk.
Simply brilliant!
Oh, and for those wondering where or what USJ is, here’s something that might be of interest.
I’ve been listening to this all week and it has me pumped for the weekend!
“Strap on your heaphones and get ready…”
Dynasty has presented us with a sick set of techno, trance and breaks that will drive you to dance! When I first heard this set, it was at work where I’m supposed to be subdued and professional…
Yeah right! By 10 minutes in I’d lost all interest in anything else but embarking on the sonic journey and fully engaging in the soundscapes that were wizzing by. We’re talking bullet train through the subterranean la-la land of electro-crisp vibes here…
This high-energy flow includes the likes of David Forbes, Kidd Kaos, Kamui, Dave Schiemann, and Simon Patterson… Our Aussie ambassador even gives us a taste of his own production, in collaboration with Mr. X and it is choice!!!
Dynasty, on the personal, mad props on “Don’t Waste the Bass”… Took me back to my early years of, dare I say it, warehouse raving, and balanced it with style-de-moment bass lines ala French Electro-house, and even some German minimal-tech drum sequencing at the end.
