And no, we’re not talking about some KDE based software. BOOOORING! This is Zaskar, of Flava Events, returning with awesomely-amazing-blistering-crazy-cool-minimal-tech set. And believe me it’s one heck of a ride!
Homeboy fabricates an intelligent magnum opus that blends crisp, finely-tailored drumbeats with abyssal basslines that seem to emanate straight from the bowels of the earth. And just when you think you’ve figured this set out, something crazy, like a jazz interlude (!!!!), jerks the judgmental prick out of you.
I’ve been listening to this all week and it has me pumped for the weekend!
“Strap on your heaphones and get ready…”
Dynasty has presented us with a sick set of techno, trance and breaks that will drive you to dance! When I first heard this set, it was at work where I’m supposed to be subdued and professional…
Yeah right! By 10 minutes in I’d lost all interest in anything else but embarking on the sonic journey and fully engaging in the soundscapes that were wizzing by. We’re talking bullet train through the subterranean la-la land of electro-crisp vibes here…
This high-energy flow includes the likes of David Forbes, Kidd Kaos, Kamui, Dave Schiemann, and Simon Patterson… Our Aussie ambassador even gives us a taste of his own production, in collaboration with Mr. X and it is choice!!!
Dynasty, on the personal, mad props on “Don’t Waste the Bass”… Took me back to my early years of, dare I say it, warehouse raving, and balanced it with style-de-moment bass lines ala French Electro-house, and even some German minimal-tech drum sequencing at the end.

Sirius has been holed up in his lab during one of the most brutal winters in Buffalo’s recent history and, after much hounding, has given us a little teaser of what he has brewing…
An Illectic Teaser
This quick mixset seduces with the opening track by Melleefresh & Deadmau5 , then a punchy bass-driven follow through with Drumattic Twins remixing Deibeat leads into one of my favorite Breaks producers, also from upstate New York, DJ Fixx. Sirius had to represent the home team… Sirius’ track selection guides us logically to a chunky, dirty, electro-tech grand finale with none othern that DJ Dan and Speculum.
Like the subtle storm that rolls in over a city at night, this set balances the expected with flashes of inspired nuance that makes it pure Sirius. As usual Sirius, takes through a mind-explosive journey of aural bliss… Can’t wait to hear the full-length mix he’s promised to drop on us next time…

For the latter part of 2007, EJ’s sound pushed itself through realms of euphoric progressions into driving new-tribalism.
Her signature introspection comes full circle in her latest mix, Solstice, as she weaves us through an elaborate lattice of ambient techno, mournful electro-bashing, and pumping kick-steps.
Featuring the sublimations of Nathan Fake, Slam, Audion, Fairmont — all huge production hard-hitters — and many many others.

I love the fact that we’re starting off on such powerful footing for 2008.
We listened to this mix pretty much just like how we listened to No.4’s mix; with our jaws dragging on the floor and our collective ego’s shrinking like testicles under a cold tap. What have our 2007 Project Ambassadors been smoking?
Dynasty’s latest mix is absolutely incredible. A tight mash between nu-breaky intervals slipped into some euphoric tribal / hard techno pounding. No angry violent German-esque shranz-nonsense. This is proper crowd-pumping artisty at the right time with the right head.

Dynasty, one of our first batch of DJs, has been very very busy setting up a new night at Melborne’s 3D club.
Pulsing out a CRAZY techno mix to promote the new night - F.E.A.R — here’s a mix that’s definetly going to leave a dent in the Melbourne scene for years to come.
(I used to play the CRAP out of Robert Armani (Circus Bells - Joey Beltram Remix) and DJ Ghost. Little-known fact. And thesuperglo worships Chris Liberator. Also little-known fact.)

Rock. Victor G; check out these awards (taken from his Myspace) -
On September 2003, Victor participated and won first place in the Heineken Juice Magazine DJ Quest. One year later, he bagged another trophy by winning the 2004 Vestax Extravaganza DJ competition mixing category and the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle 2004 and 2005 championship and recently the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Asian championship 2006
Amping up his appearances on the KL circuit, Victor’s brand of house satisfies the mass-ready, large room sounds that have been taking dominance. We’ve since invited him to appear on FKL, we’re looking forward to tracking this guy’s movements through the internet.
This twin-mix from his March and July promo mixes set up some massive sounds for some groove action. Great for the slide into the weekend. So without further ado…

Techno proponent Romel Johan has been screaming through the club circuit. His hard hitting crunchy beats, blazing cuts, and an olympic-standard track collection formulates a set thats gonna fill the funk until the trunk explodes.
I have no idea what all that meant but Romel’s awesome.
His technical ability behind the decks has seen him support the likes of Christian Smith, Funk D’ Void, John Creamer, Joris Voorn, Benny Bennasi, Kevin Saunderson, Tall Paul, Pako & Fredrik, Trevor Rockliffe, Deetron, Renato Cohen, DJ Misjah, Q-Hey, DJ Mayuri, Shin Nishimura, Technasia, John Askew, Judge Jules, The Warp Brothers, Adam Freeland, Felix Da Housecat, Eddie Halliwell, Simon Coyle, Simon Digby, Veiga, Juri Menucci & Fuzion to name a few (Taken from Romel Johan Myspace)
thesuperglo and myself was there when he was backing DJ Mayuri - her’s and Romels set definetly made it one of the more memorable nights I’ve had in KL.
Exploring the a chunky techno edge that he’s been acquiring for the past few years, The May Techo Mix sets the stage for a innovated Romel Johan with new-found electronic maturity. It’s great to have more large-room techno on the site, finally!

Dj, a name giving audiences a hard time imagining how he’ll sound or let alone what he’ll look like – has been hitting the decks for a few years now. Started as hardcore clubber, then slowly he penetrates into this dance music scene culture as Promoter,Event Coordinator & Local & International DJs Booking Agent in the industry certainly has its charm, but he’s definitely not a stranger in the dance music scene in Malaysia.
